Bianca Buccheri Celena Gold — the gold sandal that survives the wedding, the dinner, and the next three summers.

Made in Italy in pale gold Bohemia leather — upper, lining and sole. The Celena sits on a fine 8cm stiletto, with an adjustable ankle strap that holds the foot where it should be, so your toes aren't doing the gripping. Under the leather footbed there is a thin layer of foam. It is a small thing you notice by the third hour.

How to wear it
With ivory or cream for a wedding — the pale gold reads as a neutral, not a metallic, so it lifts without competing. With navy or black tailoring for evening, where it does the job a black sandal can't. With a linen dress on a warm night, bare-legged, nothing else needed.

Because it is made in Italy by a family workshop we have used for years, and it is leather all the way through — upper, lining and sole. The lining and the sole are the parts you never see and the parts that cost. Pale gold is also the most-worn neutral a woman owns once she owns it: it sits with black, navy, ivory, white and every shade of tan. The Celena is on our recut list — we reorder it every season, because the same women come back for the next colour.

Fit & sizing
The Celena is true to size. If you are between sizes, take the next size down — open styles can run slightly long. Sizes are European (35–41).
